Spring Meeting and Docks-In Day

Welcome to spring!

The warm weather is making early sailing look like a real possibility this year. I hope you had time this past weekend to at least look under the winter cover.

Our Annual Spring Meeting is this Friday at 7:00. I look forward to seeing you there. My original speaker had to drop out, but I have asked a great alternative to talk on wind shifts and will hear today. Plan “B” is an instructional video with lots of racing action. Either one will be short and a good way to prime your brain for the upcoming season.

Saturday we will put in the docks and prepare the club for the opening of our season. When a lot of us show up, the work is light and we’re done by noon. Please join us; there are jobs to fit everyone’s skill and physical abilities. We have yard work, boat cleaning, docks to wrangle, boats to uncover, cleaning and storage to organize. Bring gloves!

If you completed your work hours last year and haven’t received a check yet please contact Ed Peduto. We have some major early bills to pay – rent, insurance, etc. – and so we need you to send your 2010 dues and service hour check in today. For those of you who sent in your check as soon as you received your bill, we all appreciate it.

See you on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
