Hi everyone,
Annual Meeting
Friday night's Annual Spring Meeting went very well. If you were there, thank youfor coming. If you were not able to make it, unfortunately, you missed an outstanding guest speaker. Diane Kampf, from the Flying Scot Association gave an excellent overview of the 19' Flying Scot and the organization. Diane has sent me a copy of her presentation in case anyone would like a copy.
Docks In and Spring Clean Up Day
Saturday started out rainy, which seems to be a tradition for us for Docks In and Out Days. However, that didn't deter the many, many members who came prepared for the tasks at hand. About 8:30 the rain stopped, the sun came out and it was an absolutely glorious day at QYC.
Around 10:30 the docks had be put in place, the racing marks were assembled and positioned in the water, spreading of the mulch was completed, the kitchen and bathrooms were cleaned, the club boats were uncovered and the Laser racks moved back. Thank you, Scott, for the mulch.
We will have to schedule another Work Party to accomplish the painting tasks. Future date to be determined.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED! While working very hard, we had a lot of laughs and we all enjoyed seeing each other after a very long winter.
Mary had brought down a rake and shovel and unfortunately has been unable to find them. If anyone may have inadvertently picked them up and brought them home, please return them to the club and I'll let Mary know that they are there. You can start bringing down your moorings and leaving them on the beach next to the ramp. If you want to help Gene place moorings in the water, please contact him. He could use all the help he can get.
Again, thanks to everyone who came. We had, yet another, successful Docks In and Spring Clean Up Day.
Have a good weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone very soon.
Best regards,
Bonny
