Spring is just around the corner. Its time to start thinking about outdoor activities. Wakefield is home to Lake Quannapowitt and soon you will start seeing boats on the lake. If youve never taken a boat out on the lake, you should add that to this summer's list of things to do!
Come visit us at the Quannapowitt Yacht Club for our Open House. Enjoy some light refreshments, meet QYC members, tour the grounds, and breathe in the spring air while relaxing on one of our decks. This event is open to the public and to QYC members.
The QYC is a small boat volunteer sailing club that has available membership openings for sailors and those interested in learning. Every summer our Youth Sailing Program runs three sessions to teach sailing to kids ages 8 - 13. Our summer racing series usually start in late spring and continue through the season on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The Sisters Under Sail group meets weekly during the summers for seasoned women sailors to mentor new or novice women sailors, followed by socializing on the deck.
QYC is located right off Rt. 128 at the end of Linda Road. Come find out about becoming part of our club !
